Food & Beverage Expo Lead

The Food & Beverage Expo Lead is responsible for coordinating the efficient and accurate flow of food and beverage from the main kitchen to the Suites department during events. This position serves as a key communication link between the Culinary Team, Suites Operations, and Food & Beverage Runners, ensuring orders are complete, accurate, properly presented, and delivered to the correct suite in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Pre-Event Suite Readiness

Conduct pre-event walkthroughs of suites to verify food and beverage setups are complete and presentation standards are met.
Review suite menus and event orders to ensure each suite is set according to the appropriate menu and service requirements. Identify missing, incorrect, or incomplete items and communicate needs to the appropriate Culinary or Suites leader for resolution. Confirm food stations, buffets, serviceware, condiments, signage, and other required items are properly placed prior to guest arrival. Assist the Suites team with final readiness checks before doors open.

Kitchen Expo & Food Coordination

Manage the primary food expo area supporting Suites and oversee the flow of food from the main kitchen to suite delivery. Serve as the primary operational liaison between the Culinary Team and Suites Operations throughout the event. Review outgoing food to ensure items are complete, accurate, properly presented, and assigned to the correct suite. Organize orders and prioritize deliveries based on suite number, service timing, menu requirements, and operational needs. Communicate missing items, refires, special requests, dietary needs, or other concerns directly with the Culinary Team. Monitor ticket and order flow to prevent delays and proactively communicate potential service issues to Suites leadership. Maintain an organized and efficient expo area throughout the event.

Food & Beverage Runner Supervision

Direct Food & Beverage Runners and ensure they understand assigned delivery locations and priorities. Verify runners are taking the correct items to the correct suite before leaving the kitchen or expo area. Coordinate runner assignments based on volume and operational needs. Provide clear direction regarding urgent deliveries, replenishment requests, refires, and special orders. Monitor runner flow and reposition team members as necessary to maintain efficient service. Coach runners on proper food handling, presentation, communication, and delivery expectations. Immediately address or escalate performance and service concerns to Suites leadership.
