What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients, including initial newborn care and C-section circulation
• Assist in staffing OB triage area, performing rapid assessments and screenings
• Monitor fetal well-being and perform necessary interventions during labor and pregnancy-related concerns
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support patients experiencing complications such as pre-eclampsia, PRROM, hypertension, or bleeding
• Utilize specialized equipment like birthing tubs and fetal monitors
• Respond to obstetric emergencies with professionalism and expertise

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Beginner & Intermediate (required), AWHONN Advanced (preferred)
• Ability to perform quick assessments and handle urgent OB situations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
