What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery care to patients in a busy OB unit
• Assist in c-section procedures, initial newborn care, and other OB interventions
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as pre-eclampsia, labor, PRROM, OB ED
• Evaluate pregnancy-related concerns, perform rapid assessments in OB triage
• Conduct fetal monitoring and implement necessary interventions
• Support patient flow and ensure safety during urgent OB situations
• Assist with specialized procedures including use of birthing tubs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What You Need:

• Active Louisiana RN license or compact license accepted
• 2+ years of labor and delivery experience
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN (Beginner & Intermediate), BLS, FHM, NRP; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Ability to perform rapid assessments and handle high patient volumes
• Comfort working night shifts and in emergency situations

About the Assignment:

This assignment involves providing critical labor and delivery care within a busy OB unit. The facility is equipped with birthing tubs and handles a variety of pregnancy-related cases, including labor, pre-eclampsia, and urgent OB triage. Nurses may be assigned to emergency or relief teams as needed, with pay impacts communicated per event. Scrubs are provided, and first-time travelers are welcome.
