Procurement Manager, Direct Materials

Catalent seeks a Procurement Manager for Direct Materials at its Maryland gene therapy facility. The role involves sourcing GMP materials, managing supplier relationships, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring supply chain continuity for clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve potential material supply issues through proactive vendor management and inventory strategies
• Negotiate supply agreements to improve commercial conditions and service levels while increasing contracted spend
• Ensure supplier compliance with purchase order terms and implement procurement guidelines
• Develop and execute procurement category strategies aligned with global procurement organization initiatives
• Build pipeline of opportunities for site including cost savings, cash flow improvements, and growth initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years progressive experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or medical device procurement
• Discovery research experience and scientific exposure preferred
• Global operations, finance, and matrix management experience preferred
• Master's degree and industry certifications preferred

Compensation: $130,000-$140,000 base plus annual bonus
