Registered Nurse - IMCU (Internal Medicine Care Unit)

Assignment Duration

This is a 48-hour weekly contract position.

Night shift, 12 hours, 4 days on.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to work in the Internal Medicine Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will manage a variety of patient conditions, including but not limited to sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. Proficiency in managing heparin drips is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
