Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Newark, NJ Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Newark, NJ. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Can pass a standardized color blindness test. Job Standards Work schedule: Monday and Tuesday 9am–5pm; Wednesday 9am–12pm. Travel to additional sites when needed. Pay Range Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
