Western Forest Products Engineered US LLC  is looking to hire Laborers at our Calvert Division.  We have opportunities in both our Vancouver, WA and Washougal, WA locations.

Shifts:  Washougal: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday - Friday (with flexibility to work some Saturdays)

Vancouver: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday - Friday (with flexibility to work some Saturdays)

This role is considered safety sensitive; all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a general labor position. Duties may include:

• Receive, identify, move, and stage lumber and materials throughout the production process;
• Inspect, grade, and verify materials meet quality and production requirements;
• Measure, cut, stack, assemble, and prepare lumber according to work instructions and customer specifications;
• Safely operate production equipment, hand tools, presses, and material-handling equipment following training and authorization;
• Perform basic equipment setup, adjustments, and monitoring as assigned;
• Conduct routine quality checks and report safety, quality, equipment, or material concerns;
• Complete production records, tags, checklists, and other required documentation;
• Stack, band, tarp, stage, and transfer finished products for shipment or further processing;
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements;
• Work collaboratively with team members across production departments to meet operational goals;
• Cross-train and perform other production-related duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Labor experience is an asset but not required;
• Steady work history, includes a good attendance record;
• Positive attitude, ready to learn and a safety mindset;
• Basic math skills and ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English;
• Must be able to work in moderate to warm environment; and,
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug tests;
• This is a labor-intensive position that requires extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive physical activity.
