About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant General Counsel for Reinsurance. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that provides high-quality advisory, transactional, and regulatory support on ceded and assumed reinsurance-related matters globally. This role is pivotal in supporting time-sensitive and highly visible projects that are key to the company's strategic initiatives. The Assistant General Counsel will be responsible for advising on reinsurance aspects of strategic transactions, analyzing contractual aspects of internal reinsurance arrangements, and working with multinational teams to structure and implement reinsurance aspects of complex programs. The role also involves drafting and negotiating reinsurance and collateral documentation, as well as addressing legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to reinsurance. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor degree, be admitted to the U.S. state bar, and have a minimum of 4 years' legal experience, with a preference for those with a background in (re)insurance matters and related corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with global teams, and interact directly with senior business leaders. The role requires a leader with deep technical expertise, the ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, and a strong sense of ownership for key outcomes.
