Marketing Account Strategist

Schedule: Hybrid — 3 days/week at Mirage Media HQ HQ Address: 7220 N 16th St, Suite C, Phoenix, AZ 85020 Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer About the Job Mirage Media is looking for a Marketing Account Strategist who can lead the client conversation, shape the strategy, and work closely with our Marketing team to turn good ideas into strong, relevant work. You will serve as the primary Marketing contact for assigned clients, with a significant focus on organic social. You will collaborate directly with clients to understand their business, audience, goals, promotions, and priorities, then use that context to help guide their monthly marketing strategy. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands Instagram and Facebook—not just how to post on them. You should be current on platform changes, emerging formats, audience behavior, and what is actually gaining traction. More importantly, you should have the judgment to know which opportunities make sense for a client and which ones are simply trends for the sake of trends. You will also lead the Marketing portion of monthly client meetings, present performance reports, and turn the previous month’s insights into a clear strategy for what comes next. What You’ll Actually Be Doing Serve as the primary Marketing point of contact for assigned clients Build strong client relationships through thoughtful communication, preparation, responsiveness, and follow-through Learn each client’s business, brand, audience, priorities, promotions, and goals Develop organic social and broader marketing strategies in collaboration with clients and Mirage’s Marketing team Help shape content pillars, campaign themes, monthly priorities, platform strategies, calls to action, and testing opportunities Stay current on Instagram, Facebook, social trends, platform updates, emerging formats, and changing audience behavior Review monthly content calendars to ensure the content, messaging, creative, and calls to action work together as a cohesive strategy Collaborate with the internal team throughout ideation, development, refinement, and delivery Provide clear, constructive feedback that helps make the work stronger Lead the Marketing portion of recurring and monthly client meetings Collaborate with the team to interpret performance and identify meaningful insights Present monthly reports, explain what happened, and make clear recommendations for what should happen next Turn performance insights and client feedback into priorities for the following month Keep clients informed about progress, approvals, timelines, upcoming needs, and opportunities Coordinate with Mirage’s Advertising and Design verticals when clients receive multiple services You’ll Thrive Here If You Have 3+ years of experience in organic social, marketing strategy, account strategy, or a comparable client-facing agency role Have deep, current knowledge of Instagram and Facebook Understand content strategy, brand voice, social trends, community engagement, and organic social reporting Can look at a 12-post monthly content calendar and see the larger strategy—not just 12 individual posts Know how to turn a client’s business goals into relevant content and marketing opportunities Are comfortable leading client meetings and presenting reports, recommendations, and a clear point of view Can interpret performance without simply reading metrics back to the client Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally Give thoughtful feedback while remaining collaborative and respectful of the team’s expertise Are highly organized and can manage multiple accounts, timelines, conversations, and priorities Take ownership, follow through, and care deeply about the quality of the client experience Are curious about why something works—not just whether it looks good Have strong judgment and know when to recommend a different or stronger direction Bonus Points if You Have experience managing organic social strategy for multiple brands at once Have worked with social scheduling, listening, analytics, or reporting platforms Understand email marketing, SEO/GEO, audience research, or broader marketing measurement Have experience working with consumer brands, service businesses, nonprofits, or multi-location organizations Have a strong instinct for brand voice and can quickly recognize when content feels relevant, thoughtful, and distinctly on-brand Are usually aware of a platform update or emerging format before a client asks about it About Mirage Media We are the strategic and creative agency brands turn to when they want results that actually look good.
