Project Manager, Remediation

Job Location Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Minneapolis, MN Your New Role Join our Environment and Health department as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. Work with a collaborative and ambitious team to close the gap to a sustainable future. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with and support interdisciplinary engineering design teams to develop and implement multi‑disciplinary solutions for soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor remediation projects, using in‑situ and ex‑situ technologies. Participate in project scoping, costing, proposal preparation, and client presentations. Establish work procedures/sequences and develop schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and vendor/subcontractor lists. Significant role or independently manage proposal preparation related to service lines, sectors, key accounts and/or growth initiatives. Prepare contract/design drawings, specifications, and bid documents for environmental remediation projects. Plan, design, and manage/execute fieldwork to support remedial designs, including sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, vapor, and quality assurance activities for remedial construction. Review and analyze the cost and cost‑control progress as well as financial and site‑generated data to evaluate project status and compliance. About You We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience: BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering degree. 10+ years environmental experience, ranging from site characterization through remedial implementation and site closure. Registered professional engineer (PE) in one or more states is required. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and programs. Experience with office work (technical design, project/task management, data analysis, and report preparation) as well as fieldwork. What We Can Offer You Interesting and diverse projects. Salary Transparency At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 – $151,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
