Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in an acute care facility. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services across inpatient adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations, including treatments, vent management, ABG draws, and EKGs. The position offers a rotating shift schedule with day and night shifts, emphasizing collaborative patient care in a busy inpatient environment.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12-hour day and night shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS, BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, STABLE Certification; minimum 2 years of experience in ER, ICU, or inpatient adult units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Peds experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to be trained in pediatric respiratory care.
• Additional Information: Must have adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory experience. The role covers all inpatient areas, emergency department, outpatient bronchs, and inpatient EKGs. Core respiratory therapists can place arterial lines. The facility employs Vent equipment such as Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, Bipap v60, and Vapotherm. Orientation includes general, classroom, and shadowing components, with all travelers starting on inpatient units. The department maintains a 24/7 in-house hospitalist and pulmonologist coverage.
• Travel Requirements: Travel within facility only; no call, standby, or float requirements beyond facility boundaries.
