Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of maintenance employees in the repair and preventive maintenance of all mobile and fixed equipment. 

• Ensuring that all maintenance is performed in a safe and technically correct manner.
• Maintaining a mixed fleet of equipment capable to serve the customers changing needs
• Provide leadership and direction to the internal maintenance team external vendors and suppliers to ensures that work is completed efficiently and inline with the Mills schedules.
• Providing technical guidance for both corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
• Ensure the correct tools and resources are available for the Maiantence team.
• Management of short and long term maintenance planning and completion of planned activities efficiently within budget.
• Significant technical input and creation of scope of work for major repairs.
• Assisting maintenance workers and sub-contractors in performing diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Provide guidance and training to members of the maintenance crew

The ideal candidate will be:

• A strong organized communicator willing to work a rotating schedule weekends and holidays in a fast paced environment.
• Participate in safety quality and environmental programs by conducting observations audits and meetings.
• Carry out duties with a focus on safety quality and productivity.

Qualifications :

• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience of Heavy Mobile Equipment Static Processing Plant Locomotive and/or Gantry Cranes and/or
• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer oriented service support environment and/or
• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a Steel Mill quarry mining rolling stock major construction or material processing environment  and/or
• Sound mechanical knowledge of the following types of equipment Medium and Large Wheel Loaders Scraper Tractors Diesel Locomotive Gantry Crane Material Processing plants would be beneficial
