Join us as a Controls Engineer II.Location Type: The is an onsite role based in Nashville, Tennessee.What We Offer:Competitive wages, medical benefits starting your first day, and paid parental leaveOpportunity to work on unique, custom automation projectsA collaborative, engineering-driven environmentCareer growth and skill development opportunitiesA role where craftsmanship and quality truly matterHow You'll Make an Impact :Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or JR Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approach.Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.At least 3 years of related experience and/or trainingExposure to industry, an equivalent combination of education or experience.Experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision SystemsCurrent or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferredTravel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly.Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company OverviewAt JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
