Motivate is seeking a qualified Assistant Operations Manager to oversee bike repair and maintenance operations and activities for Boston’s growing bikeshare system. In this role, you will empower employees with resources needed to conduct their duties, work in partnership with all team members to identify and ensure operational improvements are implemented and otherwise ensure safety and performance standards are met or exceeded. The assistant operations manager will be responsible for daily oversight, including tracking attendance, productivity, and quality control processes for all bike maintenance. The starting work schedule for this position is Sunday – Wednesday, covering the daytime shift (7 AM – 5 PM, 10-hour shifts). Please note that schedules may be subject to change based on business need. About the Role Develop scheduling and conduct daily management of bike technicians Full employee life‑cycle hourly union workforce people management Oversee routing of the field teams to complete field‑based bike repairs and inspections Ensure that safety‑related and quality control processes are in place and followed Conduct metrics tracking, analyze results, and generate output reports About You You have prior experience with warehouse and/or repair operations; previous inventory management experience and knowledge of bikeshare and/or fleet management preferred You have previous supervisory experience for an hourly operations team, overseeing employees in a union environment and engaging for productivity and success You are technology proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and can quickly learn new software You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences You are a self‑starter, thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment with strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans Life, accidental death, long-term and short-term disability insurance options Paid time off and sick time Paid parental leave 401k retirement savings plan with company match Bike share membership Opportunities for growth Motivate LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
