Medical Receptionist

Medical ReceptionistMedical Receptionists will operate under the direct supervision of the Center Manager and more generally under the Medical/Laboratory Director, and at times will take instruction from the Physician Substitute on site. Medical Receptionists will ensure donor suitability, product integrity and the continued good health of donors through the compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, state regulations, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual guidelines and any other applicable regulatory standards.The following list is intended to be a guideline. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned:Read, write and understand the English languageGreet and register donorsAttend to donors' needsContact donors and schedule donor appointments; conduct follow-up on missed appointmentsEnsure area is clean and maintained according to regulationsCommunicate delays and other issues to center management, nurse and/or other necessary partiesAssess supply inventory; order and restock, as neededDocument activities and issues, when necessaryAdminister health history questionnaire to new and repeat donorsAssist in the payment of donor fees at the checkout windowAnswer donor inquiriesAvailable to travel up to 25 miles to other facility(ies) for training or assisting other center's staffing needsOther duties, as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (must provide documentation)Ability to read and write English+ Proficiency in computer operations1-2 years of customer service experience desiredRequired Skills/Abilities:Must be able to operate accurately the following equipment:Computer (basic skills includes typing, following prompts on monitor, using mouse, saving information etc.)Telephone (properly greet, transfer calls, take massages, place individuals on hold etc.)Personality and demeanor to deal with the public, including distraught donors.Basic office skills such as typing and filing.Good organizational skills.Physical Requirements:Read computer screens, procedure manuals and other documentsMust be proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak) with legible handwritingHear doorbells, alarms, telephone, and other mechanical devicesProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift, pull tug up to 50+ pounds with or without assistance at timesRegularly required use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with the hands and arms.B Positive Plasma Offers:Competitive WagesFlexible schedulingPositive Work EnvironmentPaid training opportunitiesComprehensive Medical and Dental BenefitsPaid Time Off401(K)
