Work Environment

The work setting is onsite at our fully equipped rehabilitation center in Winchester, Virginia, where you will be a key player in a supportive and interconnected team. Key Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients, prioritizing functional improvement and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide consultations to other healthcare professionals regarding the continuum of care for patients, ensuring coordinated and effective treatment strategies.
• Maintain high standards of customer service when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, respecting diverse backgrounds and cultural perspectives.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to interpret findings and monitor treatment, consistently adjusting discharge plans to reflect patient progress.
• Document all treatment sessions, maintaining adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards, while submitting timely charges for services rendered.
• Engage in leadership functions that include community outreach, continuous quality improvement initiatives, marketing strategies, and program development.
• Supervise support staff including PTA/Aide/Student internships while fostering their professional growth and development.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and ongoing education to stay abreast of industry trends and enhance personal competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapists at Strong Bodies will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our focus is on creating tailored rehabilitation programs that meet the specific needs of each patient, empowering them to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Active state license in Physical Therapy is necessary to practice.
• BLS certification is a prerequisite for employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills is required to manage patient records and treatment documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with previous clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly those with a specialization in orthopedic therapy, will be favored. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and evidence-based practice guidelines is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
