This position is 100% on-site.The Systems Engineer responsibilities include:Integrate and implement the systems engineering process for turbine-based propulsion systems and the interfacing aircraft systems, including defining requirements, performing analyses, and tracking reliability, hazards and risk management for the lifecycle of the assigned programConduct system safety analysis including fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA and FMECA generation, reliability disciplines and failure investigationsWork with cross functional engineering teams to organize data and information in accordance customer requirements and Williams best practicesSubstantiate and inform design decisions for technical leadershipDefine and track system, subsystem and component verification and validationWork closely with the Program Management team to collaborate with the customer throughout the projectProduce timely customer-defined data packages at regular intervalsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).5+ years of technical experience within Systems EngineeringBroad technical knowledge base of turbine engine or airframe technologyKnowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, including deriving requirements into actionable stepsExperience with FMEA, FMECA or Fault Tree AnalysisFamiliarity with Electronics or Software systemsDemonstrates ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships across the organizationDemonstrates interpersonal skills with effective negotiation and conflict-resolution experienceDemonstrates organizational skills and ability to produce a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailPossesses written communication skills and proficiency in document preparationFamiliarity with commercial standards (SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 certification) and the equivalent military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-882, etc.)U.S. citizenship is requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
