2nd Shift: Machine Operator / Production – Wax Manufacturing

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday (No weekends)

Shifts (8-hour shifts):

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
  (Shifts are assigned per employee and do not rotate.)

Position Summary

A leading manufacturer in the wax and specialty materials industry is seeking a dependable Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. The company operates as a fully integrated supply chain partner, specializing in custom wax formulations, blending, refining, and technical solutions across multiple industries including packaging, industrial products, cosmetics, health, and food applications.

With over 75 years of industry experience, the organization is known for its commitment to innovation, quality control, research and development, and customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist full-time production operators with daily manufacturing tasks
• Monitor hot wax pouring into slab molds and support controlled processing
• Assist with cooling process and removal of excess wax for recycling
• Walk production line to scrape and collect wax material for reuse
• Handle and package cooled wax slabs (approximately 10 lbs each) for shipping
• Operate machinery that fills 55 lb bags with wax pellets (as assigned)
• Stack and palletize 55 lb bags for shrink wrapping and shipment
• Support general production duties as needed across the facility
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Background in Production / Manufacturing
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 55 lbs
• Frequent bending, lifting, repetitive motion, and manual material handling
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment

Work Environment

• Temperature-controlled and dehumidified production areas to improve working conditions and product handling
• Fast-paced production environment with occasional downtime
• Employees are expected to remain productive during slower periods through cleaning, organization, or assisting other areas

• Dependability and consistent attendance are required
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions are essential
• Must remain productive and engaged during downtime
• Cell phone use is strictly prohibited during working hours (must be stored away; exceptions handled by Production Manager)
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support overall production flow
