Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) - Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized critical care to adult neurological patients on a 12-hour night shift, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role includes caring for complex neuro diagnoses such as stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and traumatic brain injury, in a certified comprehensive stroke center within a Magnet-designated facility.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/31/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in inpatient neuro or critical care, and demonstrated telemetry proficiency including passing a telemetry test prior to start.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Skills: Management of arterial lines, ICP monitoring, neuro-specific interventions such as ventriculostomy and lumbar drains, ventilator management, neuro assessments, dysrhythmia interpretation, administration of emergency medications, and neurocritical care procedures.
• Additional Information: Experience with eVDs, cerebral monitoring systems, and intensive neuro protocols preferred. Travel candidates must meet all minimum experience and testing requirements. Floating as needed is mandatory.
