Summary:

Hy-Vee Arena is seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and reliable Event Host to join our team. As an Event Host, you will be the face of the arena during weeknights and special functions—ensuring all guests have a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience. You will manage nightly events and assist with guests, provide information, and respond to guest needs with professionalism and energy.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout the event.
Set up and operate audio equipment including mixing consoles, microphones, monitors, amps, and PA systems.
Perform sound checks with guests and monitor mixes during performances.
Adjust and troubleshoot audio issues in real-time to ensure audio clarity and consistency.
Maintain and test equipment before and after each show to ensure optimal performance.
Provide accurate and up-to-date information about the event, venue amenities, and policies.
Assist with pre-event setup and post-event breakdown as required.
Serve as a liaison between the arena and its guests—resolving issues or directing them appropriately.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and emergency procedures.
Collaborate with arena staff, vendors, and performers to support overall event operations.
