About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult populations Description: This emergency department sees both pediatrics and adults. Travelers must be comfortable caring for both populations. The patient ratio is 1:4. Weekend work is required every third weekend. On-call requirements are not applicable. No floating outside of the service line is expected. Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Telehealth experience is beneficial but not required. Special requirements include experience with glucostabilizers. Candidates should be adept in managing a variety of chief complaints, including abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and musculoskeletal injuries. Pediatric emergency department experience is preferred. Daily patient census ranges from 120 to 160. The unit contains 25 beds. All travelers will float within the service line. Max of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted. No RTO is allowed the first week of an assignment. Mid-contract cancellations are not allowed. Compliance deadlines are important and must be adhered to. Fit testing is required for travelers. Modules are required for all RNs and must be completed timely.
