Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed registered nurse with emergency department experience for a travel assignment at Wesley West FSED. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, low to moderate acuity ED setting during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, prioritize, and respond to patient conditions with timely, evidence-based interventions.
• Administer medications, including sedations and IV starts, following protocols and safety standards.
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and medication administration accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit policies, including scanning patients and medications for compliance and safety.
• Maintain a calm, efficient demeanor in a high-volume, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or applicable state.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent hospital ED experience.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and CPI Blue Card.
• Demonstrate experience with Meditech EMR and large facility ED environments.
• Have strong skills in pediatric care, medication administration, and sedation procedures.
• Exhibit excellent adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
