AR Specialist / Accountant II

We are looking for a detail-oriented AR Specialist/Staff Accountant to join our team in Ladson, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of our organization. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is a team player and has a strong background in accounts receivable, sales tax, month end close, and reporting. Responsibilities: Accounts receivable billing and collections. Posting of customer payments. Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions. Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Oversee general ledger activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to support financial reviews. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions. Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for reporting purposes. Requirements: Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance. Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, accounting ERP software; SAP is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills.
