Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Days, 1845 - 0715

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The RN is responsible for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, offering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for telemetry patients.
• Manage treatment for conditions such as CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, and COPD.
• Administer medications including non-titratable cardiac medication drips as per protocols.
• Prepare for and care for patients post-procedure, including those with pacemakers, ablations, and post-cath lab patients.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Maintain competency in telemetry by passing required competency exams on rhythm strip identification.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Current Nevada RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
