Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required; holiday availability as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, and IV insertion as core components of patient assessment and care
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including EKG reading and response
• Float to a sister Emergency Department campus and other system campuses as needed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records system
• Participate in orientation modules and compliance requirements, including a mandatory EKG competency exam

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Combined Adult and Pediatric ED experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
