About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required TNCC preferred Must-Have: Charge RN experience preferred Experience in General Emergency Department - Combined Adult/Pediatric required EPIC experience required Description: This position requires working 3 shifts of 12 hours each from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend is required, with additional availability appreciated. Holidays may be required as needed. Floating to a sister emergency department is required. All staff may be floated to various campuses as needed. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency care. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and triage. Charting experience with EPIC is mandatory, and Cerner experience is preferred. The nurse will manage patient ratios of 1:4. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census reflects an average of 85 visits. The environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration. Special procedures and equipment experience may be beneficial. All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam. Candidates must comply with vaccination requirements.
