In-person Hiring Event - Customer Service Representative (Albany)

Position Overview Responsible for handling subscriber, provider, and consumer inquiries regarding coverage, claims payment, membership status, and medical management. Performs claims processing, email resolutions, letter preparations, and related clerical tasks. Requires regular attendance and strong communication skills. Work Shifts Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm (35‑hour work week) Training Must be available to attend an 8‑week paid training program, Monday through Friday, 10 am – 6 pm Compensation and Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $24.23 Competitive health and wellness benefits Responsibilities Receive, answer, and/or record telephone, correspondence, and e‑mail inquiries from subscribers, providers, and other consumers regarding coverage, claims payment, membership status, and medical management intake calls. Review inquiries, correspondence, and email receipts; prepare email resolutions, letters (form or narrative), and claims payment adjustments. Perform written and verbal duties to meet company goals for production and accuracy. Perform related claims approval and clerical work as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Maintain regular attendance. Qualifications Ability to work under pressure, handle stressful situations effectively, and deal politely with subscribers and providers via telephone, in person, and email. Detect and communicate service issue problems to management. Strong telephone speaking ability and positive telephone personality. Compose clear, concise letters. When designated, sort and screen correspondence receipts and resolve via coding of additional payment, possibly including salvage and/or completion by letter. Typing and PC skills. Adapt to change and address multiple issues simultaneously. Good organizational skills. Available for training. Education and Experience Minimum of two (2) years in customer service; at least one year in a call center setting. College degree preferred. Health insurance experience a plus.
