Work Environment This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential adjustments to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments that incorporate the cultural backgrounds of patients to identify their individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to fit the cultural context of each patient. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address mental health challenges, bolster coping strategies, and promote emotional health. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to safeguard patient welfare. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, informing them about treatment options and community resources that can enhance their support network. Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring continuity of care. Engage actively in case conferences and cultural competency training sessions to further enhance your professional practice and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Qualifications Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. A valid state license as a Mental Health Counselor is required. Preferred Experience Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, preferably with multicultural clients. Familiarity with telehealth technologies and electronic health record systems. Experience providing trauma-informed care or working with specific populations, such as LGBTQ+ individuals or refugees.
