Multiple contract opportunities are available for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide expert services during the school year. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Virginia is required
- Open to SLPs with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- School-based SLP experience preferred, though recent grads with relevant pediatric experience are welcome
- Strong knowledge of K-12 educational settings and IEP processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy for students in grades K-12, addressing articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Conduct assessments, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Travel between assigned locations within the Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Isle of Wight County, and Southampton County areas
