Position Details

• Position: Critical Care Unit (CCU) Registered Nurse (RN)
• Facility: TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center
• Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee
• Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Contract Length: (13 weeks)

Unit Information

• Unit: Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• Beds: 20
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Support Staff:
  • Unit secretary available on days and nights
  • Occasional patient care technician support
• Equipment:
  • GE monitors
  • Alaris IV pumps
  • Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Charting System: Meditech

Schedule

• 3×12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Contract staff float before permanent staff when needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care/ICU experience
• Meditech charting experience
• Experience managing:
  • Arterial lines
  • Venous and arterial sheaths
  • Vasopressor and cardiovascular drips
  • Mechanically ventilated patients

Required Certifications

• RN License
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for ICU/CCU patients.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and manage invasive lines.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications.
• Care for ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams during critical interventions.
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech
