Amergis is seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a supportive school district in Tacoma, WA for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with elementary and secondary students in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Details

• Location: Tacoma, WA

• Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Openings: 4

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week

• Contract Length: 36 Weeks

• Start Date: October 12, 2026

Caseload Information

• 3 Elementary School Caseloads

• 1 Secondary Caseload (Middle School/High School)

• Caseloads range from 45-50 students

Pay Rates

• Local SLP: Up to $77/hour

• Travel SLP Package: Up to $3,129/week

• Housing Stipend: $952/week

• Meals & Incidentals: $602/week

Responsibilities

• Conduct student speech and language evaluations

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans

• Provide direct speech-language services

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Participate in IEP meetings and student planning

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist License in Washington or eligible for licensure

• CCC-SLP preferred

• Compliance with all professional standards of practice

• Current CPR certification, if applicable

• Current health documentation and TB clearance, if required

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
