We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Logistics Specialist to join our fast-paced logistics and transportation team. In this critical role, you will provide essential support for freight operations and load coordination, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and excellent customer service within a dynamic environment.

Logistics Specialist Details:
- Temporary position
- $20.50 / hour
- Full Time work available
- Weekend work required
- Various shifts available ( Thursday through Monday )
As a Specialist, Logistics, you will be responsible for providing logistics support, including:
- Order entry
- Routing and dispatching
- Traffic coordination
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
- Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken
- Update receivers and customers on load status
- Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries
- Verify loads arrive on time and in good condition
- Take check calls from drivers and ensure on-time deliveries
- Validate load data before marking loads delivered for accounting purposes
- Investigate overages, shortages, and damage
- Complete appropriate documentation
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments
- Accept or decline loads based on account manager directio
- Provide detailed directions and routing instructions to drivers
Logistics Specialist Qualifications:
Must have:
- Minimum 1 year of logistics experience
- General knowledge of the transportation industry
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
