Role Description The Human Resources Business Partner is a full‑time, on‑site role based at the Polydeck Global Headquarters located in Spartanburg, South Carolina area. This role partners with leaders and team members to support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. Guided by Polydeck’s values of Humility, Integrity, Excellence, and Caring, this role serves as a trusted resource to employees and leaders while providing hands‑on HR support across employee relations, compliance, benefits, talent processes, onboarding, HR systems, and employee care initiatives. The HRBP will serve as the primary owner of many day‑to‑day HR operations while partnering closely with the HR Manager to improve processes, strengthen employee experiences, and support organizational growth. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Employee Relations & Leader Support Manage routine and moderate employee relations matters with sound judgment and timely follow‑through. Conduct fact gathering, workplace reviews, and documentation for appropriate HR matters. Coach leaders on policy application, documentation expectations, employee conversations, and performance management basics. Identify employee concerns before they escape and bring thoughtful recommendations to the HR Manager. Escalate complex, sensitive, or high‑risk employee relations matters appropriately. Maintain confidentiality while balancing employee care, compliance, and business needs. Employee Care & Engagement Serve as a responsive, caring, and credible HR resource for employees across departments and shifts. Support employee care programs, engagement initiatives, recognition efforts, and communication follow‑through. Build trusted relationships with production, office, and leadership populations. Maintain visible HR presence and accessibility for employees who do not work standard office hours. Help ensure employees receive timely, respectful, consistent support. Benefits & Employee Support Serve as a primary resource for benefits questions, issue tracking, and employee follow‑up. Coordinate Open Enrollment activities, communications, and employee support efforts. Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve recurring benefits issues. Identify trends and recommend improvements to the employee benefits support experience. HR Operations, Compliance & HRIS Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data integrity. Execute HRIS transactions and develop sufficient system understanding to troubleshoot common employee lifecycle needs. Support compliance activities, audits, employment verifications, record retention, and documentation standards. Own onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle administration with accuracy and care. Develop and maintain standard work, checklists, templates, and process guides. Talent Acquisition Support Lead or support recruiting efforts for hourly, skilled, and professional positions below manager level. Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, job postings, and hiring logistics. Partner with leaders to improve the hiring experience and candidate quality. Support workforce planning activities as requested. Note: Manager‑level and above recruiting remains primarily owned by the HR Manager. Onboarding & Employee Experience Partner with the HR Manager to enhance the onboarding and new hire integration experience. Help create a welcoming, organized, and values‑connected first‑year employee experience. Support orientation, training coordination, communication, and employee transition activities. Identify opportunities to improve retention, connection, and early employee success. Track HR metrics, recurring issues, gaps, and trends to support better decision‑making. Create and maintain HR tools, forms, standard work, checklists, and dashboards as needed. Recommend improvements that increase efficiency, quality, compliance, and employee experience. Support adoption of technology, AI tools, and continuous improvement practices that improve HR. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with strong generalist exposure. Strong employee relations, documentation, and compliance knowledge. Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, recruiting, and HR operations. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and follow‑through. Strong communication, organization, problem‑solving, and confidentiality skills. Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with the HR Manager and Employee Care leadership. Demonstrated ability to build trust while maintaining accountability. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, industrial, or multi‑shift workforce experience. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Experience supporting benefits administration and Open Enrollment. Experience developing SOPs, standard work, HR process guides, or continuous improvement tools.
