# Project Manager AssistantSpartanburg, SConsite$40,000-$50,000/yrApply for this PositionSpartanburg, SCPosted 6/25/2026## About This RoleThe Project Manager Assistant (PMA) directly supports the Project Manager (PM) in overseeing production volume, profitability, and customer experience while upholding Renew Painting's values. The PMA assists the PM in leading a mixed workforce of W-2 painters and subcontractor crews, ensuring smooth project execution, tight communication, and consistently excellent service.This role is designed to handle a large volume of field and administrative tasks, helping the PM protect margins, protect the brand, and strengthen the company's reputation through hands-on daily support.Key Responsibilities*(Not exhaustive – scope may expand with company growth)*Field Support & Crew Management* **Crew Start-Ups:** Support the PM by physically arriving at job sites to help start W-2 and subcontractor crews, ensuring they have what they need to begin work efficiently.* **Team & Sub Support:** Assist in overseeing and supporting both W-2 employees and subcontractor crews.* **Training & Onboarding:** Help train W-2 staff in company SOPs, safety, quality, and performance standards, and assist in onboarding subcontractors to Renew's expectations and jobsite standards.* **Quality Control:** Perform regular jobsite visits to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety requirements. Address and document field issues promptly.Production, Materials & Administration* **Material Management:** Take ownership of ordering materials, tracking inventory, and ensuring necessary tools and supplies are delivered to production planning sites.* **Scheduling Assistance:** Help manage, adjust, and communicate the full production schedule for both W-2 crews and subcontractors. Prepare next-day schedules.* **Admin & Documentation:** Handle daily admin tasks, including tracking KPIs (job costing, labor hours, etc.) and ensuring project documentation is fully updated via Monday, Slack, and CompanyCam.* **Client Communication:** Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle to provide updates and prevent callbacks.Project Management Workflow Support**Pre-Job Setup*** Assist the PM in ensuring W-2 crews and/or subcontractors are fully equipped and ready for their assignments.* Follow the established Project Management SOP.* Confirm all customer specifications, including colors, scope, and materials.* Contact the client directly prior to the project start date.* Assist in creating and communicating a clear production plan.**During Job*** Support crews on-site and manage daily efficiency to help projects meet budgeted hours.* Utilize Monday, Slack, CompanyCam, and other RP tools (capacity tracker, checklists) for real-time tracking.* Ensure accurate and timely BRUSH updates are provided by the crews.* Monitor for any scope changes; properly document them and assist in obtaining signed approvals.**Post-Job Closeout*** Conduct final walkthroughs with clients for quality control.* Ensure all invoices, change orders, and closing documentation are complete.* Close out jobs according to the company SOP.Compensation & Review* **Salary:** $40,000 – $50,000* **Performance Reviews:** Quarterly/Annual performance reviews and collaborative goal setting.* **Growth:** Salary, bonuses, and core responsibilities may change as the company grows.* **Accountability:** If minimum goals or performance standards are not met, a supportive coaching plan will be created and monitored.Operations & Company PoliciesAttendance & Schedule* **Standard Hours:** 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday (hours can run over depending on job and volume).* **Flexibility:** Occasional evenings or weekends may be required to meet high-volume goals.* **Punctuality:** Arrive 5 minutes early for all scheduled appointments and immediately notify customers if running late.* **Meetings:** Mandatory attendance for all staff meetings and training sessions.Time Off & Sick Days* **Allotment:** Up to 80 hours of total paid time off per year, which includes sick days (earned with time of employment).* **Notification:** Notify your direct supervisor by 6:00 AM if you are unable to work due to illness.* **Documentation:** A doctor's note is required after 1 consecutive sick day.* **Client Care:** The PMA is responsible for rescheduling any affected clients due to their absence.Vehicle Policy* A valid driver's license is strictly required.* A company vehicle may be provided for business use only (no personal use permitted).* The assistant is personally responsible for any traffic tickets or parking violations.* The vehicle must be cleaned thoroughly, inside and out, on a monthly basis.* All driving, towing, and trailer safety laws must be strictly followed.* Must comply with all company vehicle rules outlined in the Company Handbook.Technology & Appearance* **Tech:** Renew Painting provides a laptop/tablet for work use only. Equipment must be maintained in good condition for 24 months; any damages within this timeframe are the employee's responsibility. Necessary software subscriptions will be provided.* **Appearance:** Employees must wear a Renew Painting shirt, clean pants, and closed-toe shoes. Professional language and behavior must be maintained on and off the jobsite.Safety* Strict adherence to all Renew Painting safety policies is required.* There is a zero-tolerance policy for drug or alcohol use. Renew Painting reserves the right to conduct testing after any safety violation.Resignation & TerminationResignation* Provide a minimum of 2 weeks' written notice to the owner.Progressive Discipline ("3 Strikes")Written warnings and coaching plans will be issued before termination when appropriate for issues such as:* Unsatisfactory work performance* No-show or unnotified absences* Negative attitude or poor morale* Disinterest in the roleImmediate TerminationImmediate termination will occur for severe violations, including:* Fighting, drug, or alcohol use* Theft* Loss of a valid driver's license* Reckless use of company equipment* Endangering jobsite safety* Violation of company values or the code of conduct### Pay & BenefitsPay: $40,000-$50,000/yr### Schedule & Locationonsite • Spartanburg, SC## About Renew PaintingRenew Painting delivers interior painting, exterior services, cabinet refinishing, popcorn removal, and color consultation.
