The work of a U.S. Army Infectious Disease Officer provides information and research about infectious diseases to benefit the Army. Through research, you will work to confirm, diagnose, treat and control the transmission of infectious diseases within the military and communities you support. You will participate in humanitarian missions to address the spread of infectious diseases and find new ways to prevent them. If you choose to join the Army Reserve, you will be able to serve your country as needed and continue to support your community.
