Experienced Live-Out Nanny Needed
A private family in Pinecrest is seeking an experienced live-out nanny to care for their 6-week-old baby girl. The household consists of a couple, a newborn baby, and an older child who is 4 years old and attends school. The primary care will be for the baby.
The ideal candidate must have previous nanny experience caring for newborns and infants. This role requires someone who is comfortable working alongside a hands-on mother who will be present in the home. The nanny must be able to work in tandem with mom as part of a team, communicate clearly, and follow the family's parenting style.
The family is looking for someone with the right personality: calm, gentle, patient, adaptable, and aligned with the parents' approach to infant care. It is important that both mom and nanny remain on the same page so the same care techniques and routines are used regardless of who is caring for the baby.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced infant nanny who enjoys working collaboratively with parents and providing gentle, consistent care for a newborn.
Schedule: 5–6 days per week, Sundays off
Hours: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Responsibilities include typical newborn and infant care duties, such as:
- Feeding support, burping, diapering, and soothing
- Following the baby's nap and feeding routine
- Supporting healthy sleep habits
- Engaging the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities
- Keeping the baby's nursery and baby areas clean and organized
- Washing and organizing baby bottles, baby laundry, and baby items
- Communicating updates to mom regarding the baby's needs, schedule, and development
- Working closely with mom to maintain consistency in care
Requirements:
- Previous professional nanny experience caring for newborns/infants
- Comfortable working with a parent who is present in the home
- Calm, gentle, patient, and nurturing personality
- Strong communication skills
- Able to adapt to the family's parenting style
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Newborn care training is a plus
- Seeking a long-term position
Compensation: $35 to $40 per hour, other benefits to be discussed
