Job Summary


Our client is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to provide exemplary patient care and support to the healthcare team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication. The primary responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, assisting healthcare providers, and performing necessary clinical procedures and administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities

• Take patients' vital signs and prepare them for examinations.
• Perform initial interviews to gather medical history for healthcare providers.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and other direct care activities.
• Perform phlebotomy, Point of Care Testing (POCT), and EKGs.
• Administer immunizations and injections as ordered by the healthcare provider.
• Collaborate with other care team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate lab results to patients as instructed and notify providers of abnormal results.
• Maintain established policies, quality improvement programs, and safety standards.
• Ensure proper storage of medications and maintain daily temperature logs.
• Contribute to Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles by ensuring patient-centered care.
• Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance.

Qualifications

• 1 Year MA Experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience with PEDS to Adults
• EMR Experience (Athena Highly Preferred)

Skills

• Technical skills: EMR experience, proficiency in Athena is highly preferred.
• Soft skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
