Utilize advanced ERP systems and Excel skills for success.Job DescriptionManager of Cash Applications OverviewThe Manager of Cash Applications will oversee cash receipts and application operations, ensuring accurate and timely posting of tenant payments.Lead a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility and fostering professional growth opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and optimize workflows for operational excellence.Drive compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.Utilize advanced ERP systems and Microsoft Excel skills to manage high-volume cash receipts effectively.Mentor and lead a team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.This is a newly created role with significant opportunities for professional growth and impact.Manager of Cash Applications Key Responsibilities & DutiesOversee daily cash application processes, ensuring accurate posting of payments to tenant accounts.Manage receipt intake from various sources, ensuring payments are applied per remittance advice or system logic.Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring ledger accuracy.Lead and mentor staff, setting performance goals and implementing process improvements.Collaborate with Lease Administration, Treasury, Accounting, and IT to optimize workflows and resolve payment discrepancies.Serve as the primary contact for tenant inquiries related to payment activity and portal support.Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records and reports.Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.Manager of Cash Applications Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or accounting.Preferred 3+ years of supervisory experience, including managing third-party resources.Proficiency in ERP systems such as MRI, Yardi, or JD Edwards, with experience in system implementation.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Experience with REIT operations and real estate finance, including lease structures and billing cycles.Ability to manage high-volume cash receipts in a multi-entity environment.
