Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:

The ICU RN will provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in intensive care units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate care. This role involves working within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, following established protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions continuously and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and monitor their effects.
  
  
• 
  Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ensuring proper response and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
  
  
• 
  Float to other units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and maintaining clinical proficiency.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety, infection control, and documentation protocols, including charting in Cerner.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license; pending licenses accepted.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with expertise in cardiac monitoring and management.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Experience with cardiac drips and dysrhythmia interpretation.
  
  
• 
  Ability to read and interpret EKG strips accurately.
  
  
• 
  Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
