Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule

Day Shift: 4x12-Hour, from 06:45 to 19:15

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit. The role includes monitoring patients, managing dysrhythmias, and providing comprehensive nursing care for various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients by utilizing telemetry and remote monitoring systems
• Administer medications including insulin and PCA
• Provide care for bowel obstructions, colostomies, and ileostomies
• Manage feeding tubes and perform phlebotomy
• Perform pre/post hemodialysis management and blood product administration
• Utilize rapid response/code teams in emergencies
• Conduct wound care and manage chest tubes
• Educate patients and families on care and disease management

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Active BLS and NIHSS certifications
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with electronic documentation systems preferred
