Years of experience required: 2 year(s). Must have level 1 trauma experience.

Shift hours/contract length: 0600-1630 (13 weeks)

On call requirement: Yes, on-call after shift hours Friday–Sunday during scheduled weeks. Call requirement: Will take call at least two days of call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on the need.

Rto/block & special scheduling requests: All requests must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.

Call off policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Accept first-time travelers: No

Locals accepted? Radius rule: Yes. Refer to the submittal instructions for radius rule criteria.

Pending certification accepted: No. Must have CST through NBSTSA.

Travel pairs: Travel pairs and trios are welcome.

Required certifications: BLS, CST through NBSTSA.

Required clinical skills: CVOR experience, first assist roles. Aortic aneurysm repair, atherectomy, ASD repair, cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, VAD management.

Unit details and floating: Patient population & unit details: Average of 3 hearts/day. Floating: Yes. Floating required per Prisma Health policy. Staff may float to other units/campuses based on census and only to units they are qualified for and trained in. Float to the main OR if CVOR volume is low.
