Position Type: Family Center – Father Involvement Specialist (Family Center) Date Posted: 11/19/2025 Location: Family Center Date Available: ASAP Closing Date: Until Filled Responsibilities The Father Involvement Specialist works within Head Start’s Family and Community Engagement Framework to support Early Head Start and Prevention Initiative programs. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing all father involvement initiatives; recruiting fathers to participate in engagement activities; improving communication between the school and male caregivers; promoting father engagement in children’s education; and encouraging greater community involvement at the Center. Hours 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some flexibility required to meet participant needs. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field 2–3 years of teaching, community organizing, and/or social service experience Preferably 5 years experience working in a birth‑to‑five environment Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred Knowledge or experience with Head Start or Prevention Initiative grants or data‑management systems preferred Background working with networks of agencies addressing students’ and families’ social‑emotional, economic, and health needs is preferred Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $20.00/Hour Duration: 12‑month (year‑round) position Benefits: None #J-18808-Ljbffr Evanston/Skokie School District 65
