Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join a growing financial services and tax advisory organization in Cincinnati, OH.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in individual and business tax preparation, proactive tax planning, and client advisory services. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with financial advisors, develop tax-efficient strategies for clients, oversee complex tax returns, and contribute to the growth of the organization's tax division.
\n
\n
This is a strategic, year-round position focused on helping individuals and business owners minimize tax liabilities and achieve long-term financial and retirement goals.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities :
\n
\n
Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for individuals, business owners, and retirement-focused clients.
\n
Prepare complex individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
\n
Review tax returns prepared by an outsourced tax preparation partner.
\n
Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax strategies into clients' financial and retirement plans.
\n
Provide tax advisory services, including tax projections, scenario analysis, and business tax planning.
\n
Support business-owner clients with tax-related guidance, accounting, and bookkeeping matters when appropriate.
\n
Oversee tax preparation workflows, improve processes, and maintain quality standards.
\n
Manage relationships with outsourced tax preparation providers.
\n
Contribute to the expansion of tax advisory services across multiple offices.
\n
Participate in client meetings, seminars, and educational events as needed.
\n
\n

Required Qualifications :
\n
\n
Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) license in good standing.
\n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n
Professional tax experience in public accounting, tax advisory, or wealth management.
\n
Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
\n
Expertise in tax planning, tax compliance, and complex tax matters.
\n
Ability to communicate tax strategies effectively to clients and financial advisors.
\n
Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
\n
Ability to work on-site in Cincinnati, OH.
\n
Flexibility to work additional hours during tax season and attend occasional client events.
\n
\n

Preferred Qualifications :
\n
\n
Experience with Ohio and Kentucky tax regulations.
\n
Background in wealth management, retirement planning, or registered investment advisory (RIA) firms.
\n
Experience serving high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
\n
Previous experience supervising tax preparation processes, reviewing outsourced returns, or improving tax department operations.
\n
Interest in helping expand a growing tax advisory practice.
\n
