Posting Summary Rutgers is seeking a Learning Specialist for the Office for Development and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS). ODASIS is a campuswide academic support program dedicated to supporting students to excel in science and mathematics courses, leading to professional healthcare careers and health‑related graduate programs. Key Responsibilities Provide learning assistance to students within ODASIS. Support students through one‑on‑one academic plans, career advising, and mentoring. Develop programs and strategies to improve recruitment, retention, and graduation rates. Hire, train, and supervise peer Supplemental Instructors for weekly academic support sessions and mandatory study halls. FLSA Status Exempt Grade 05 Salary Details Minimum Salary: $68,278.48 Mid Range Salary: $84,393.98 Maximum Salary: $100,509.48 Benefits Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage Paid vacation, holidays, and various leave programs Competitive retirement benefits, including defined contribution plans and voluntary tax‑deferred savings options Employee and dependent educational benefits (when applicable) Life insurance coverage Employee discount programs Position Status and Work Hours Full Time Standard Hours: 37.50 per week Daily Work Shift: Day Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field At least two (2) years of professional experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff in an academic support services environment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in biology, higher education, or a related field. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good communication skills and computer literacy.
