Job Description

A community hospital with 300 beds in San Antonio is seeking a skilled pharmacist to fill a night shift position. This role involves working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on a 7 on, 7 off schedule for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. The environment utilizes Cerner as the IT system.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations
Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapies
Provide pharmacokinetic services and clinical support

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active Texas Pharmacist license required
Previous hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with Cerner pharmacy systems is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams

Schedule:

Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
7 days on, 7 days off
