Job Summary:
The Oncology Nurse position located in Iowa City, Iowa, is based on a specialized unit providing stem cell transplant and cellular therapies. The role involves working on a dedicated 24-bed unit that caters to adult patients with hematological disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other related conditions. The position requires the candidate to bring their license on the first day. This role is scheduled for night shifts, with the contract starting on 08/03/2026, and the candidate is expected to work a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Position: Oncology Nurse on a Medical Surgical Oncology Floor
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications & Education: CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Must be able to administer chemotherapy.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in oncology or comparable fields; experience in trauma level 1-2 settings, and teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic or Cerner electronic medical records systems; strong background in oncology and blood and marrow transplant (BMT).
• Additional Information:
  • No travel required for this role.
  • Float may not be required.
  • Contract dates are from 07/13/2026 to 10/18/2026, with a scheduled reflection of time off from 09/03 to 09/09.
  • The candidate has confirmed understanding of floating requirements within their scope of practice and has explored local housing options.
  • The candidate has expressed willingness to accept the offer if extended.
