Family Law Attorney

Our client, a growing regional law firm, is seeking a Partner-level Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney to join and expand their Connecticut practice in their Greenwich office, with an expectation of collaboration across the firm’s offices. They are seeking an experienced practitioner with an established portable book of business and a strong reputation within the family and matrimonial law community. The ideal candidate will collaborate across related practice group such as Trusts and Estates and Real Estate.

The firm's Family and Matrimonial Law Practice provides thoughtful representation in emotionally complex matters, combining professionalism, sound judgment, along with strategic advocacy. This role offers meaningful opportunity for practice growth and leadership within the firm.

Responsibilities include:

• Representing clients in sophisticated matrimonial and family law matters, including contested and uncontested divorces, custody and parenting time disputes, support issues, and post-judgment matters.
• Handling complex financial and high-net-worth divorce matters, including equitable distribution, alimony, and child support.
• Drafting and negotiating prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements.
• Serve as lead counsel in negotiated resolutions, mediations, and contested litigation, including trial and appellate matters when necessary.
• Maintain and grow a portable book of business while developing new client relationships and referral networks.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing (New York admission a plus).

7+ years of concentrated experience in matrimonial and family law.

Demonstrated portable book of business and collected originations.

Strong professional reputation for excellence, discretion, and client advocacy.

Excellent courtroom presence, negotiation skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
