Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, providing you the opportunity to engage with clients from your preferred environment while utilizing cutting-edge telehealth technology. Our remote work framework enables our counselors to reach elderly clients across New York, ensuring they receive vital mental health services from the comfort of their homes. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions aimed at helping clients navigate emotional difficulties associated with aging, loss, and significant life transitions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to craft personalized care plans that address the unique mental health needs of geriatric residents.
• Provide education and guidance to family members and staff on enhancing the emotional well-being and quality of life for older adults.
• Deliver specialized grief and loss counseling for clients and their families in the context of end-of-life issues, fostering a compassionate support environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on elderly clients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience specializing in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
• Advanced training or specialization in issues related to aging and geriatric mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
