Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Des Moines, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.08 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry and exit points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations. Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed. Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
