Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30; options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirements include 4-6 shifts every 6 weeks.

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team for the night shift. This role involves providing nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support laboring patients through delivery processes.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform triage duties for obstetrical patients.
• Utilize External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) during labor.
• Administer medications, including anticoagulants and antihypertensives as necessary.
• Care for patients recovering from C-section deliveries.
• Conduct sterile vaginal examinations as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery preferred.
• Required certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted).
• Experience with community hospital charting systems is necessary.
